El Azteca Mexican Taco Shop

46 West 1230 North

Provo, Utah

375-9690

El Azteca Mexican Taco Shop is conveniently located right off Bulldog and University Avenue in Provo, Utah.  The price is around $7 for a good size meal that’s filling.  They have free refills on drinks too!  It’s a great place for kids with booth seating to keep things closely knit :) .  It’s fairly clean – the salsa area was a bit cluttered but this can be expected. The promptness was probably our favorite thing about El Azteca in Provo.  We had barely sat down to wait for our Mexican food and our number was called (probably 5 minutes max).  The workers were friendly and seemed happy to be there – which is a plus too.

This place is awesome! If you go there my recommendation would be the Nachos. . . . they are my favorite by far!

Thanks man – I’ll try those next time I go there. And I will for sure go back to this place since they didn’t take forever to deliver my order :) and it seemed the employees liked working there.

This place is pretty good. I’ve eaten there two different times and agree with Beau that they have pretty good nachos. Not the best Mexican food in town, but pretty good.

If you’re looking for authentic authentic Mexican, you can’t beat Diegos!
If you’re not, can’t go wrong with Cafe Rio or Bajio.

Everyone loves Cafe Rio :) My only complaint with that one is you have to be ready to wait. Never tried Mi Ranchito but will look in to that one too.

Joe Vera’s is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in Provo! Such a friendly, quaint atmosphere. The Bandido is the best item on the menu. The chips and salsa are awesome too.

I must say El Azteca is wonderful too! Maybe they are tied with Joe Veras. =) We do love their carne asada nachos and mild salsa.

My favorite so far at El Azteca has been the Chicken Enchilada meal. I’ll try the carne asada nachos and mild salsa at our next visit! Thanks for the comments!
