Deer Hunters Find Pot Farm in Central Utah

Deer hunters in central Utah have discovered a large marijuana farm.

The Sanpete County sheriff’s office says the field found Saturday near Ephraim contained up to 20,000 plants and an irrigation system.

Two men suspected of tending the plants have been arrested, The Salt Lake Tribune reported in its online edition Tuesday.

Michael Root, a supervisory special agent for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, says the farm does not appear to be connected to a string of marijuana fields that were found this summer in central and southern Utah.
