How did this fire start in the first place?

A track hoe near the rodeo grounds in Alpine City – whether it was a spark or the heat of the machine – authorities are not sure.

Blackhawk helicopters from the National Guard are ready to work.

Some were given minutes to pack their things and go.

People who were forced to evacuate are at Timberline Middle School. The community continues to offer assistance: pizza places dropping off food and relief people helping out.
